Notice of ROND transfer Rule Changes for KYC Initiation

We would like to inform you of some changes to the transfer rules for the current ROND export pool, which are being made in preparation for KYC initiation at the end of September 2023 and for security measures.

▼ Current Money Transfer Rules
① Transfer ROND from the import pool to the export pool every day between 19:00 and 24:00.
② If the amount to be transferred is less than 1 million ROND, the operation team will top it up to 1 million ROND and then transfer.
③ If the daily difference was 1.5 million ROND, 1.5 million ROND would be transferred.

We have been processing transfers according to the above rules.
However, due to the daily export of approximately 1 to 1.2 million ROND by those who are currently able to withdraw, the balance in the ROND export pool has been gradually increasing and currently stands at approximately 3.4 million ROND.

As the pool size increases, so does the risk of potential fraudulent withdrawals.
Therefore, the project is beginning to feel uneasy about the surplus ROND in the pool.

Furthermore, with the start of KYC at the end of this month, the number of individuals eligible to export ROND is expected to increase, along with the total daily export amount. Therefore, it is anticipated that the current daily transfer of 1 million ROND will no longer be sufficient, and we will need to build reserves in the pool.

Therefore, starting from September 11, 2023, we will be changing the ROND transfer rules  as follows:
① Transfer ROND from the import pool to the export pool every day between 19:00 and 24:00.
② If the amount to be transferred is less than 1 million ROND, the operation team will top it up to 1 million ROND and then transfer.
③ If the daily difference was 1.5 million ROND, 1.2 million ROND will be transferred to the export pool, and the remaining 300,000 ROND will be moved to the storage wallet (0x69AA0Bd5a773B585AF803dCD63680d6CDD3E2855) to serve as a reserve pool.

After starting KYC, if the daily amount to be transferred increases, we can cover the additional withdrawal amount from the reserve pool mentioned above. This approach will not only address the increase in withdrawal amounts  but also enhance security through the decentralization of ROND held in one location.
