September 28th Maintenance (Updated on 9/28)
(Updated on 9/28)
- Changed so that Engela can also be summoned at the Castellum Aurora Entrance.
- Fixed a bug where "Callstone Shard", including the Dark Dragon, continued to drop even after exceeding the daily drop limit of 4 dragons.
--------------------------------------------------
Thank you for always playing GensoKishi Online.
We will be conducting scheduled maintenance for the official service between 05:00 ~ 10:00 on September 28, 2023 (UTC)
The maintenance details are as follows:
■ Maintenance detail
・Collaborative Event: SYMBIOGENESIS✕GENSO
Event 1: Defeat special monsters appearing in the Dragon Tower to obtain "Ticket to Floating Continent"
From September 28, 2023, until the maintenance on October 12, 2023, special monsters have a low chance of appearing when you defeat the 5th-floor monsters in various Dragon Towers. Defeating these special monsters may drop an item called "Ticket to Floating Continent" with a certain probability.
After the event ends, those who possess "Ticket to Floating Continent" will receive an NFT called "Chip Relic 200MB α Ver. (For Ch1 only)" from the SYMBIOGENESIS project to their wallet address.
Please make sure to link your wallet address if you acquire this item. Note that even if special monsters appear, you will be forcibly returned to the Dragon Tower from the Dragon's Gate after a certain time has passed since defeating the 5th-floor monsters. Therefore, we kindly request you to defeat the special monsters as soon as possible.
Event 2: Gather "Cliff Potato" as crafting material for exclusive collaboration equipment.
From September 28, 2023, until the maintenance on October 12, 2023, certain monster races will start dropping an NFT material called "Cliff Potato". We intentionally withhold information about which monster races will drop "Cliff Potato" in line with the SYMBIOGENESIS project themes of "Exclusive" and "Distribution." Please enjoy sharing information within the GENSO project community. As a hint, "Cliff Potato" is more likely to drop from monsters of higher levels within any of the races. Additionally, Super Monsters, unique monsters that appear under specific conditions, have a higher chance of dropping "Cliff Potato". For example, if a "Furious Puyon" from the Puyon race drops "Cliff Potato", it means that other monsters from the Poyon race also have a low chance of dropping "Cliff Potato".
Based on this hint, please try to collect as much "Cliff Potato" as possible within the event period. For more information about collaboration equipment that can be crafted using "Cliff Potato" and several other NFT materials, please refer here.
Event Notes:
- The maximum issuance limit for "Ticket to Floating Continent" is 25 points, and for "Cliff Potato", it is 20,000 points, combining the Japan and Singapore regions. Please be aware that NFTs will no longer drop once the issuance limit is reached, even during the event period.
- "Ticket to Floating Continent" is an item for obtaining the right to participate in the NFT distribution airdrop and cannot be exported as an NFT.
- The NFT synthesis feature is scheduled to be released on October 12, 2023. Therefore, you cannot generate equipment during this event period.
・End of Sales for Genso Lucky Chance #2 and Information about the Lottery
With this maintenance, the sale of 'Highly Concentrated Potion' and 'Highly Concentrated Mana Potion' will come to a close.
Additionally, we will be hosting a lottery on the GENSO official Discord channel starting at 12:30 on October 4, 2023 (UTC).
We will provide further details in a separate announcement, and we appreciate your patience as we await further updates.
・We are pleased to announce the availability of two new NFT materials, 'Bushin's Blessing' and 'Majin's Blessing', for purchase in the Dragon Coin Shop.
Each of them is available for purchase at the price of 10 Dragon Coins.
For crafting the 'Bushin's Favored Scarf' and 'Bushin's Favored Faulds' which will become craftable once the NFT synthesis feature is released, you will require 50 units of 'Bushin's Blessing'' each.
Similarly, for crafting the 'Majin's Favored Cloak' and 'Majin's Favored Mistletoe,' you will need 50 units of 'Majin's Blessing's Blessing' each.
For a more detailed guide, please refer to the equipment crafting flow.
・The discontinuation of 'Mooncake' drops.
The 'Mooncake' drop from Dragon Tower monsters, which has been available since September 14, 2023, will come to an end with this maintenance.
・Changes in Export Rank and Commencement of eKYC
The Export Rank, determined based on the import volume of mMV and LR Fashion Equipment import points, will see the addition of four new ranks for those with an import volume of 1,000,000 mMV or more but less than 10,000,000 mMV.
- Import volume of 1,000,000 mMV to 1,999,999 mMV will be Rank 1.
- Import volume of 2,000,000 mMV to 2,999,999 mMV will be Rank 2.
- Import volume of 3,000,000 mMV to 6,999,999 mMV will be Rank 3.
- Import volume of 7,000,000 mMV to 9,999,999 mMV will be Rank 4.
Furthermore, those who have imported 10,000,000 mMV or more in the past will be upgraded from Rank 2 to Rank 5 due to the addition of the above-mentioned ranks. (Those who have imported LR Fashion Equipment will be further upgraded to Rank 6, 7, and so on.)
Starting from the maintenance period, eKYC will be accepted only for those in Rank 4. For those who fall below Rank 3, we will gradually commence eKYC registration from mid-October. We apologize for any inconvenience and kindly ask for your patience.
Details regarding eKYC registration, withdrawal limits for Rank 1 to 4, and withdrawal cooldown periods will be available on the Export page after the maintenance is completed. We appreciate your patience and await the conclusion of the maintenance.
Changes Regarding mROND Export Fees:
When exporting mROND, we used to charge a fee of 10,000 mROND or 5% of the mROND to be withdrawn, whichever was lower, if the 5% fee did not reach 10,000 mROND. However, considering factors such as the price of ROND and withdrawal limits for those who can now withdraw due to KYC, we have decided that, starting from this maintenance, the fee will be a fixed 5%, and there will no longer be a minimum fee of 10,000 mROND.
Specification Change Regarding Super Monster Item Drop Rights:
With the introduction of a new ECO system called Material NFTs, we believe that Super Monsters (Spamons) that appear with low probability when fighting monsters have garnered attention. We would like to make changes to the rules for Spamons dropping items (loot rights) in this maintenance.
Previous Rules:
- Loot rights were generated when a certain amount of damage was dealt.
- When a monster was defeated, one player with loot rights was selected by lottery from among the players who had loot rights.
- If the selected player belonged to a party, one member of the party was chosen.
These rules were in place initially because Spamons were positioned to be defeated with the cooperation of many players, creating the possibility for loot rights to be widely distributed to those who participated. However, it seems that the situation has changed, with the introduction of Material NFTs, and there is now a need for clarity in the loot acquisition rules and a shift towards players who contribute significantly to the defeat of the monster.
Therefore, in this maintenance, we will implement the following new rules:
New Rules:
- For every point of damage dealt, a loot value called "route value" is internally accumulated for the player.
- The acquired route value will gradually decrease by 0.1% per second over time.
- Upon death, the route value earned up to that point will be reset to zero (even if resurrected).
- When a monster is defeated, the route values of each player are aggregated, and the player with the highest route value will obtain loot rights.
- If the player with the highest route value belongs to a party, one member of the party will be selected to receive loot rights.
- When loot rights are obtained, the item to be dropped is determined based on the probability set for each item, and the confirmed dropped item is given to the player with loot rights.
In general, players who deal the most damage will have the highest chance of obtaining loot rights. However, there is a decay factor over time, so if a player with significantly higher damage joins the battle later, they may have an advantage. Additionally, since route values are reset to zero upon death, strategic gameplay, such as teaming up with healers to avoid dying, will be required.
Please note that route values are evaluated on a player-by-player basis, even if you are in a party.
These are the upcoming changes, so please review them carefully.
・Price Adjustment for Postal Storage Deposits of Dragon Tower Limit Break Materials and Various Material NFTs
In preparation for the upcoming release of the NFT synthesis feature and to enhance the liquidity of various material NFTs, we will be adjusting the prices for deposits into the Postal Storage.
We apologize to those who have already made deposits into thePostal Storage, but we will be reducing the overall deposit fees. We regret to inform you that we will not be able to provide compensation for past deposit fees. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.
・Decorating Elrond Town for Halloween
Elrond Marketplace will undergo an image change in preparation for Halloween at the end of October. Stay tuned for Halloween-themed events, which are planned to begin in mid-October."
・Change in Engela Summoning Odds
Angelar, which can be summoned with a certain probability under specific conditions, will have its summoning odds adjusted to make it more likely to appear. This adjustment is being made as the previous odds were set lower compared to 'Hopeslayer' and we aim to balance the summoning rates.
・Reevaluation of Monster Movement Settings for Maps
We have been continually reviewing and making changes to the random movement ranges of monsters on various maps, while keeping the number of monsters and their initial respawn areas unchanged.
The original settings sometimes caused monsters to accumulate excessively in certain corners of the map when their movement was biased. Additionally, on some maps, there were instances where monsters would climb onto elevated surfaces. Therefore, we are revisiting these settings to ensure such situations do not occur.
The maps that will undergo changes during this maintenance are as follows:
「Ateria Plains (W)、Ateria Plains (E)、Ateria Plains (N)、Eltos Rampart、Colkia Plains、Velk Ruins、Kalhari Shore、Kalhari Desert、Dragon's Jowl、Purify Chamber」
Furthermore, we would like to apologize for the delayed announcement regarding the reevaluation of the movement settings mentioned above. These adjustments were also made to maps beyond Zeth Forest during the maintenance on September 14th. We have received reports of changes in the monster distribution on the maps without prior announcement.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused due to the delay in communication.
・Implementation of the Following Changes in Creator Sandbox
1.Changed the degradation rate of the Magic Knight's CND to approximately 60% as a guideline.
2.Modified the status screen to display the account name.
- Note: This update was already released for iOS app users on September 21st. With this update, it will also be displayed for WebGL and Android users. If you wish to change your account name, please submit a request via the contact form as it will be visible to others on the status confirmation screen.
3.Implemented a bulk sale feature for cashable items (e.g., Scarlet Crystals) in the shop.
- Please note that the current CND degradation rules being tested in the Creator Sandbox environment are subject to future changes and adjustments, and therefore, they are not included in this update.
・Distribution of 'Base Repair Tool (Left Hand)
As previously announced and conducted on September 15, 2023, we made changes to the 'Grinder Lock' and 'Ancient Wand,' which were considered 'Armor' until the maintenance on September 14, 2023. These base weapons were modified during that maintenance to be categorized as 'Weapons,' resulting in a problem where they would reduce CND when attacking and using skills (this issue has already been corrected).
In compensation for this issue, we will distribute 'Base Repair Tool (Left Hand)' to all players who engaged in gameplay between September 14th and September 15th, as mentioned.
・Removal of the 'Tradeable' Icon from Various Screens
Initially, we were considering the introduction of a feature that would allow users to trade items within the GensoKishi Online service. However, due to the various potential impacts that trading could have on the in-game economy, we have currently not set a timeline for its implementation.
As a result, we have decided to temporarily remove the 'Tradeable' icon and any indications of an item's tradeability from various item display screens. This includes information about whether an item can be traded or not on the item details screen.
・Various Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the casting bar was not disappearing when canceling monster spells.
- Fixed a bug where opening the character status of a friend not on the same map from the friends list allowed for sending another friend request.
- Fixed a bug (iOS only) where the BGM would disappear when opening a website from the Shop menu and returning.
- When blocking a user, their messages are not supposed to reach each other in both local and field chat. However, there was a bug where the blocked user's messages were still displayed in the channel chat. This issue has been fixed.
We look forward to your continued support for GensoKishi Online.
