Notice: Skill Balance Adjustments and Defense Battle (Hard) Fixes

We would like to inform you of the following necessary adjustments to skills and fixes to Defense Battle (Hard).
■ Warlock Skill: “Reaper's Shroud / Reaper's Regalia”
The Warlock skill “Reaper's Shroud / Reaper's Regalia” has the following intended effect:
“When used while in Stealth, the caster forms a pact with the Reaper, increasing magic power by 30% or 50%. However, upon expiration, the caster takes physical damage equal to 50% or 70% of their maximum HP. [Cooldown: 1 minute]”
However, due to the implementation of the Cooldown Speed feature, it became possible to reuse the skill earlier than the original cooldown. As a result, if the skill is recast before the 1-minute mark when the damage is applied, players could obtain the 50% magic power increase without triggering the intended damage effect.
This deviates from the original concept of the skill—“gaining great power at the cost of taking significant damage.” Since being able to enjoy only the benefit has a considerable impact on overall class balance, we have reviewed measures to address the issue.
After careful consideration to preserve the original concept and usability of the skill as much as possible, the following adjustments will be implemented in the next maintenance:
If “Reaper's Shroud / Reaper's Regalia” is cast again while the buff effect “Death Embrace” is active, and the effect is overwritten, the “Take Physical Damage” effect will immediately trigger at the moment of overwriting.
The physical damage taken upon overwriting will be as follows (reduced by 5% compared to before):
Reaper's Shroud Lv1: 45% HP damage
Reaper's Shroud Lv2: 45% HP damage
Reaper's Shroud Lv3: 45% HP damage
Reaper's Shroud Lv4: 45% HP damage
Reaper's Regalia: 65% HP damage
With this change, damage will still be applied even when overwriting, but the amount will be less than if the buff naturally expired. This allows players to still benefit from increased cooldown speed.
■ Defense Battle: Hard Mode Adjustments
The following restrictions were not previously applied to Hard Mode, so they will now be aligned with Normal Mode:
1.The maximum hit rate for attacks on enemies is capped at 95%.
2.The maximum guard success rate is capped at 80%.
3.The maximum critical hit rate is capped at 80%.
4.The maximum counter rate is capped at 80%.
5.The cooldown time for resurrection skills (including automatic resurrection effects) is set to 2 minutes.
■ Scheduled Fix
These fixes are scheduled to be applied during maintenance on Thursday, August 28.
