We have received reports from community users that sandwich bot attacks have been observed during ROND swap transactions. Warnings and alerts have also been shared on platforms like X (formerly Twitter).

We would like to take this opportunity to explain sandwich attacks and the actions you can take to protect yourself.

■ What is a Sandwich Attack?

In recent years, a sandwich attack has been a common exploit observed on DEXS (Decentralised Exchanges). In this attack, an MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) bot places its transactions before and after a user's transaction, manipulating the price and profiting from the difference.
This type of attack is not limited to a specific project—it may target any transaction with profit potential.

■ Recommended Slippage Settings

To avoid sandwich attacks, properly configuring the slippage (acceptable price fluctuation range) is essential.
Especially when using wallet apps like MetaMask for swaps, we recommend the following:

• You can change the slippage settings from the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the swap estimate screen (this also applies to mobile apps).
• Recommended slippage setting: 0.1%–0.2%

Setting a narrow slippage range can significantly reduce the risk of sandwich attacks.

Please note: Currently, the MV Wallet does not support slippage configuration for swap transactions. However, when performing small-value swaps, the opportunity for MEV bots to intervene is limited, reducing the chances of being targeted.
We recommend that you exercise extra caution when conducting high-value swaps.
